Matt Larsen
Mediator
Matthew Larsen is a facilitator/mediator specializing in
land use and community development. He has
designed and managed numerous conflict resolution
and public involvement projects including: transit-
oriented development, neighborhood revitalization
planning, and small area plans.
Matt hails from Chicago, IL, where he began his work in
civic engagement as a community organizer. Study and
work in the interfaith and community development fields
in Waco, Texas broadened his skills as a consensus
builder and mediator. Matt has conducted field
research on South Africa’s Truth and Reconciliation
Commission and has written on the significance of civic
engagement and public participation in Catholic and
Jewish social ethics.
Matt joined Justice and Sustainability Associates in
2006.
